Essential Hair Maintenance Tips

SHAMPOOING/CONDITIONING

In addition to co-washing or deep conditioning prior to installing your extensions, wash your extensions twice a month with moisturizing hair care products. Be sure to use lukewarm water to prevent your texture from severely changing

(CURLS WILL DROP AFTER INITIAL WASH).

COMBING/ BRUSHING

When brushing or combing your extensions, ALWAYS use a soft-bristled brush. Be sure to start at the bottom, and slowly work your way up to avoid tangling or matting. For deep wave and tight curl textures, you must finger comb your hair while it's wet, then follow up with detangling using your soft bristle brush or comb.

HEAT DAMAGE PREVENTION

Excessive blow drying and heat styling will likely cause heat damage. Always air dry your extensions if possible. It is a necessity to ALWAYS use Heat Protectant to combat heat damage while using heated appliances.

(IF BLOW DRYING IS NECESSARY, USE A LOW OR COOL SETTING).

STYLING/PRODUCT USE

Be extremely cautious with the amount of products you use. Heavy oils, gels, edge controls and serums will cause your hair to look weighed down if the products are not applied properly.

CHEMICALS

We recommend seeking a professional coloring expert for all activities involving chemicals. Chemicals such as perm, dye, and bleach may cause irreversible damage. If your hair is permed or bleached excessively, it may cause split ends, in addition to excessive tangling or shedding.

TO PREVENT SHEDDING, TANGLING, AND HEAT DAMAGE, TREAT THE HAIR LIKE IT IS GROWING FROM YOUR SCALP!
